Lady Gaga's South by Southwest performance seems to have left a bad taste in the mouths of many.

A new online petition on Care2 is gaining thousands of signatures from people who feel the pop star was "glamorizing bulimia" when she had a performance artist vomit on her body while on stage in Austin.

The petition is asking Gaga to cut off professional ties with the performance artist Millie Brown, and stop "using imagery that could trigger fans struggling with eating disorders."

The online description also highlights Gaga's personal struggle with bulimia, urging the star to "be more sensitive" and consider how her actions affect the power of "her music and her message."

Almost 10,000 supporters have signed as of Wednesday afternoon.
