Residents are reporting unsolicited phone calls from individuals claiming they can lower utility rates; and then asking for account information. These calls are not coming from the City of
Consumers can help protect themselves by never giving personal information over the phone; and also not trusting caller ID’s. When in doubt, hang up and then use a number on a recent statement to call your utility company.
And anyone who suspects a scam or any unfair business practice can contact the Ohio Attorney General’s office.
