A street development project just north of the Walmart complex in Napoleon will move forward, after the Napoleon Planning Commission approved a replat for property owned by First Federal Bank. This is the former Midwest Wood Trim property on the west side of North Scott Street, and just south of Wood Drive. The plan for the city of Napoleon is to create a street extension from Scott, heading west toward the bypass, that would eventually link with the new water plant. Several lots would be created along this new street, that would be available for development.
The Napoleon Planning Commission also recommended a change in the official zoning map for the city, for the 55-acre parcel that is the site of the new elementary school in Napoleon. The official location is 725 Westmoreland Avenue.
