There was personnel action, and some scheduling information released at the Monday meeting for the Patrick Henry School board of education. The board accepted the resignation of Shelly Storch as secretary to the superintendent and accounts payable specialist. That takes affect Friday, and the position has been posted in the district.
Some personnel moves include Beth Wade taking-over as middle school secretary; and Glenda Merrick will move to middle school custodian. Shannon Meyer will become a teacher’s aide at the Malinta-Grelton building, and Tiffany Ehlers was hired as junior high track coach.
A new beverage contract was approved with Pepsi as the supplier to Patrick Henry schools for the next five years, providing $2,500 to the district, along with a percentage of sales.
The Patrick Henry school board has set-up an ‘open house’ event on Tuesday, April 15th to provide information on the facilities project. It will be held in the high school library, running from 6:30pm till 8 o’clock that night. You’re invited to bring questions for the board and school officials. The board approved updates to the forms required for use of the school or athletic facilities at Patrick Henry. School treasurer Lisa Shanks was commended for being recognized by the state auditor’s office for her excellence in financial reports. And May 28th will now be the last day for students, due to excessive calamity days.
