The farm community sure welcomed those raindrops that fell in early June; because May was about as dry as it gets in the rain-gauge.   Normally May is the second wettest month of the year; but that didn’t happen in 2013 for Henry County.   The official weather station at the Northwest Signal recorded 1.79 inches of precipitation last month.   That’s about 1.9 inches below normal for May.           In the first few days of June, we’re already well on our way to the average rainfall for the month, which is 3.58 inches.
