LIBERTY CENTER SCHOOL BOARD APPROVES SALE OF BONDS FOR NEW SCHOOL

 

 

Another financial step has been taken in new school project for LibertyCenter’s district.  The board of education approved a resolution to sell bonds totaling just over 18.5 million dollars for the construction.

 

After hearing a presentation from the soccer program; the LibertyCenter school board has approve full-sports status for the boys and girls high school soccer programs.  This means most all expenses will be paid by the school for this sport.

 

Contracts were approved for services in nursing and for insurance coverage for the LibertyCenter district.   The nursing contract is with the HenryCountyHospital at just over $74,000, in a joint agreement with Holgate and Patrick Henry schools.                        The insurance for property, fleet and liability coverage is just under $75,000 with Frost Insurance.

 

                                    The LibertyCenter school board approved placing a renewal levy for the public library on the ballot in November, at 1.3 mills.

 

                        And an overnight trip for the cross country program was approved for a camp in early August.   There was also personnel action in the Monday session, following an executive session.
