LC COUNCIL APPROVES AGREEMENT TO JOIN NAPOLEON WATER PLANT
After months of dialogue with the city of Napoleon; Liberty Center council has approved an emergency ordinance to join Napoleon as a partner in their new water plant construction project. An agreement would still need to be negotiated, in a contract that would provide water for the residents and businesses in Liberty Center. The Henry County Regional Water and Sewer District is also expected to be a key part of the agreement.
Liberty Center Council approved the third and final reading on an ordinance to create a fund that would help pay for water meters in the future.
A resolution was approved giving Liberty Center’s backing to the Henry County solid waste district plan for closure of the landfill.
And council went along with the recommendation from the village cemetery committee that will lead to placement of rules for the Liberty Center cemetery at the site.
