HENRY COUNTY COMMISSIONERS REVIEW ANNEXATION REQUEST IN DESHLER
The Henry County Commissioners are reviewing an annexation request from the village of Deshler concerning about 3.2 acres of ground adjacent to the town’s swimming pool. This parcel is already owned by Deshler; but has never been brought inside the village limits. Commissioners need to act on the petition within 30 days of filing.
A couple of contracts were approved for asbestos removal in two houses slated for demolition in the ‘moving Ohio forward’ program. That cost will be $4,348, and concerns structures in McClure and Ridgeville Township.
A three-year contract was approved for accounting services needed by the Henry County auditor’s office, at a cost of $13,900 annually.
Commissioners conducted some interviews for the part-time position of deputy dog warden; but no selection has been made.
And next week, the Henry County board will begin their discussion with various department heads concerning their budgets for 2014.
