HENRY COUNTY COMMISSIONERS HIRE DEPUTY DOG WARDEN

Some corrective measures in normal office operations for Henry County employees will result in a credit of over $4,300 in the insurance premium for commissioners.  The Henry County board was informed by their risk-sharing authority at CORSA, that changing the way space-heaters are utilized in offices will benefit the bottom-line.  That change is to plug those space heaters into a wall outlet, rather than a power strip.          Another recommendation is to attach shelving units to walls, rather than making them free-standing units.

The Henry County Commissioners have hired Guy Miller as the new deputy dog warden, effective October 15th, in a part-time position at 10-dollars per hour.

An annexation request for the village of Deshler to annex about 3.2 acres of land near the swimming pool was approved by Henry County Commissioners.  That moves the property from Bartlow Township into the town of Deshler.

Henry County Commissioners have approved charging back the costs of the county audit to each department.  That amount is just over $16,000, to be split among the various office holders.   Another $32,700 will come from the general fund.

And Thursday more budget dialogue is planned for the Henry County Commissioners in covering departments ranging from child support to the board of elections.
