ENERGY SAVINGS PROPOSAL FOR HENRY COUNTY COURTHOUSE

A proposal to make energy improvements at the Henry County Courthouse is moving forward.   The Henry County Commissioners met Tuesday with consultants from Palmer Conservation, and county maintenance director, Eric Weller.   The plan is for Palmer to create a scope of services for that construction work, which is designed to save Henry County in energy costs to operate their nearly 130 year old courthouse structure.

The Henry County Commissioners approved their third quarter payment for operating costs at the regional jail, at $127,144.  That’s down by about $47,000 from last year’s 3rd quarter bill due to some credits that Henry County received.

A draw of $15,540 was submitted to the Ohio Development Services, to help pay for the rehabilitation of a house in the Deshler area.

And the Henry County Commissioners are taking another step toward closing the landfill, as they open bids on Thursday for construction on the final cover for the dump site.   The property will remain open as a transfer station for solid waste.
