The County Council of the American Legion in Henry County has recognized students that were high-scorers in the 2013 Americanism Testing program.   This test on government in America included multiple choice and essay questions.

The top scorer in the 12th grade girls test was Amber Gruenhagen of Napoleon, while Reid  Nye was the top placer for the 12th grade boys.

Taking top honors among 11th grade students in Henry County were Kaitlyn Meece and Luke Gruenhagen-both of Napoleon.

And the top scores on the 10th grade Americanism test went to Allison Louter of Liberty Center, along with Andrew Behnfeldt of Napoleon.

Each winner received a certificate and 25-dollars in cash; and will now advance to the district, and possibly state level, where they could win a trip to Washington DC.    Arnie Gerken represented the County Council in handing out the awards at the Napoleon Legion Tuesday night.
